2010 IEEE Visualization Contest Winner: Interactive Planning for Brain Tumor Resections
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications - 2011
We’ve developed an intuitive planning system for neurosurgical procedures, using a variety of visualization techniques. In cooperation with our medical partners, we identified a workflow during which the surgeon inspects the tumor and surrounding tissue and specifies and analyzes access paths. To support this workflow, our application prototype utilizes novel as well as best-practice visualization techniques. It won the 2010 IEEE Visualization Contest.
